The Queen Crater of Mt Tangkuban Parahu

This is the beautiful crater from the still most active volcano of Mt. Tangkuban Parahu.

Tangkuban Parahu means the up side down boat, which came from the legend of Sangkuriang and Dayang Sumbi.

Sangkuriang made a big boat in one night by helps from demon, as a dowry to marry a beautiful lady, Dayang Sumbi, and then Dayang Sumbi made a noise that looked like the dawn was coming, as she knew that
she cannot marry to Sangkuriang, her own son.


Mt Tangkuban Parahu offers beautiful scenes and there is also a grabable hot spring water from the active Domas Crater.


For those who want to come to see Mt Tangkuban Parahu, we offer service by 12 or 15 seater Elf type of car, up graded from 1 unit of 9 seater KIA Pregio.
